Hardware
- CPU Cores: minimum 2 x 2,0 GHz, recommended 4 x 3,2 GHz
- RAM: minimum 4 GB, recommended 8 GB
- Hard disk:
- minimum 5 GB free space
- SSD recommended
- Documents should be stored on a separate internal hard drive or external storage system
Database
- DocuWare Internal Database:
- CPU Cores: minimum 2 x 1,4 GHz, recommended 2 x 3,2 GHz
- RAM: minimum 1 GB
- DocuWare recommends the use of Microsoft SQL-Server as Database system for Systems with more than 1 Million documents (without Fulltext) or with more the 200.000 document pages (with Fulltext).
- DocuWare recommends the use of Microsoft SQL-Server or MySQL 64 Bit as Database when using Workflow Manager.
- In larger installations we recommend to use a dedicated machine for the database

Fulltext
- DocuWare Fulltext Service (required for searching in the full text of the documents):
- CPU Cores: minimum 1 x 1,4 GHz, recommended 2 x 3,2 GHz
- RAM: minimum 1 GB, recommended 2 GB
- In larger installations we recommend to use a dedicated machine for Fulltext.
