Connect To Outlook Plugin has dissappeared/stopped working since Windows Update

This is a know issue with all Add-ins within Outlook since an Windows Update.


After running Windows Update the patch KB3114409 breaks Outlook and stops Connect to Outlook from working.
The patch which is designed to stop Outlook from starting in Safe Mode actually does the opposite and forces a Safe Mode start.
To rectify, remove the Windows update patch.

To fix this issue you will need to:

  1. Go to Start, enter Run, and then select Run.
  2. Enter Appwiz.cpl, and then select OK.
  3. Select View installed updates.
  4. In the list of updates, locate and select update KB3114409, and then select Uninstall.
